I really like the most basic fact that he put out, the first principles. He told me to stay curious about the problem at hand, rather than only trying to crack the interview. In DSA, he told me to focus on getting the next step, rather than trying to get to the output of the solution. In System Design, he told me to rather focus on understanding the various basic building blocks in depth (like redis, cassandra, SQL etc) rather than only focussing on the high level stuff

They were very precise and practical in their approach which is similar to mine. They had tons of experience in building large applications and at scale, something i would like to learn from them and they were also aiming to provide the same. Its important to have a mentor who can show and keep a mentee on the right path, which i believe would be the case while working with them, especially the non technical aspects and a experienced/mature point of view.

After speaking with Shisir I got clarity on the concepts that are required for an interview. Apart from this what sets him apart is understanding basic concepts rather than going to frameworks directly which will help in career growth as well. Shisir gave a good understanding of how the plan would be for the LTM process.
