Interview levels of maang / top product based companies is of higher standard than mid range product based companies. It would be good to do a mock interview to know your level first before proceeding. Please setup a 1-1 with me to discuss further.

Hello Dominic,
I'm happy to guide you in building your skills and network to prepare for a full-stack software engineering role at a leading tech company after graduation.
Regarding projects, I'd recommend focusing on 2-3 medium-sized web apps that demonstrate mastery of key technologies like React, Node.js, and cloud databases. Building an e-commerce site, social platform, or data dashboard would enable you to showcase a production-grade codebase and technical abilities like API integration, testing, and deployment. I can suggest some open-source templates to use as a starting point.
For networking, getting involved in student chapters like ACM or Women Who Code can connect you with industry professionals. Attending local tech meetups and hackathons will also expand your network. I'd be glad to connect you to some of my former colleagues who are interviewers or recruiters at FAANG companies. Getting their insight through informational interviews can be invaluable.
In addition, thoroughly studying computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, system design, and object-oriented programming is crucial for passing coding interviews. I have plenty of recommended resources to structure your preparation over the next 6-12 months.
Finally, going through practice questions and mock interviews will ensure you are comfortable addressing the types of behavioral, technical, and system design prompts you’ll face on-site. I'm happy to conduct regular practice sessions and provide feedback.
Please let me know if you have any other specific questions! I'm confident that with consistent effort, we can get you ready to land your dream full-stack role.
Best,
Aakash Sethi
