Technical Interview Loop (4 rounds)

Round 1️⃣ (45 mins)

The first round was purely based on DSA, problem was from Trees topic.

I was expected to first understand the problem, ask questions related to constraints or any other clarifications before moving to the solution part. After that he asked me one of the Leadership principle (behavioural question).

Round 2️⃣

This was the HLD(high level design) in which interviewer asked me to design a system which is already existing in Amazon. Started with the Non-functional & Functional requirements, estimating the DB size, System architecture design, backend APIs, DB schema design, security & UI design.

Round 3️⃣

Next round was the LLD(Low Level Design) in which interviewer asked me to code one of the problem in the editor. The code should be modular, following SOLID principles, should be scalable, handling the exceptions, proper naming conventions. Also he asked one of the behavioural question in this round.

Round 4️⃣  - Bar Raiser Round

Amazon Bar Raisers are used as impartial interviewers unconnected to the position or group for which the applicant is applying. The interviewer can ask anything related to DSA, System Design or Leadership principle.

Final Round - Offer Discussion

Finally, the HR discussion in which you can negotiate salary & ask if there are any doubts related to the interview. Preparing for the interview was made easy by my previous knowledge of problem solving and I had to revise System design topics.
