There are so many sources and where to start is definitely a overwhelming part of the preparation journey. If your interest lies in the area of web development, things start in a different manner.

My approach would be:

1. Learn Javascript for the front end and python/java for the backend
2. Perform DSA in both these languages to get the grip in the language syntax.
3. Catch a very simple web application scenario like splitwise or flipkart etc..
4. Implement the backend API using flask or spring boot.
5. Implement a simple website using react
6. Have Mongo/SQL run in my local

This should be a good start point for you. We can discuss further in my trial session and have a LTM if possible.

I can understand what you are going through, as these days, when job market is not that great, i am hearing similar concerns from a lot of freshers and new graduates.

My first suggestion to you would be to learn and have great clarity and hand on experience on DSA and problem solving as this is going to give you a lot of confidence and will set you for appearing and cracking the interviews 1/2 rounds with ease.

And alongside, start learning from Blogs, Online tutorials about how to develop a simple Web Application with some backend api. This will give you some confidence in working on such applications.

All these things, once you will do, will set you different from majority of people who does not have any direction.

You can take up some courses on coursera (by applying Financial Aid so that it can be free of cost with certificate) as of now along with some on Youtube. There are multiple courses on Youtube like one from Apna college and courses by Love Babbar and many more. Once you complete these than go with some good projects and than try for applying to internships. After all of above you will have a good idea of where and how should you proceed ahead
