Mentee Question
I gave interviews to salesforce, arcesium, wells fargo and bny mellon. I got to last round of each company but couldn't found my name in final shortlist. What should I do?

Hi Akash ,
My question to you is that who all were present in the last round.
Normally if it is with mid- senior level leadership then it has to be your fitment to the role - the big picture evaluation !
If it has an HR involved , it might be in all probability on salary expectations. Did you quote a number ? Was it in the expected salary range and were you aware of the range before the scheduled discussion.
Let me know.

Hey Akash, firstly its encouraging to see you getting past multiple screening and tech rounds to reach the final round. I think we need to pen down what questions were asked and what were your responses to them? That'll help you get a clarity how better these questions could have been answered.
And don't worry, you're on the right track. Some tweaks and I am sure, you'll have an offer in hand.

Hi Akash, First of all don't panic.
Failures are good, they help you to understand yourself better and grow. There must be a great opportunity waiting for you. So start believing in yourself and start practicing what went wrong and how you can improve . It would be great to understand your skill set and help you improve them.

Hi Akash, first of all, congratulations on getting shortlisted in the top firms and cruising your way through your initial rounds of interviews. Let me answer your question in two-fold.
What's going well?
- Your resume is strong - to get shortlisted
- Your technical skills are strong - as I see that you are clearing your initial rounds
What do they assess in the final round of interviews?
- Usually, the final rounds are taken by experienced team members let's say (executives/senior managers and above)
- They generally assess your fitment in the org., how confidently you speak and present yourself, and your ability to lead
- Your answers should be clear, concise, and crisp, and should start at the birds-eye level, i.e, the impact you created in your past work, drill-down if they ask for more details
- Keep in mind - these are the senior folks, and they don't have time to hear the nuts and bolts of what you did in your previous work ex.
Hope my answer is useful to you and happy to connect with you if you require any further assistance in acing your interviews
