• Preparations for campus placements depend on the kind of company visiting your campus and needs to be targeted on a company basis. For off-campus, preparations would primarily target DS/Algo and primary Computer Science Concepts.
• Gaining new skills/building a logic in coding takes time and patience but is an achievable task. I would say - think of it as "If some guy/girl can do it, I can do it too."

Any language works for coding - I would suggest to opt for Java or C++ due to the object oriented syntax of writing code.
