People usually take career break for upgrading their skills and a lot of other things are there.

A career track in not a staright line any longer ..it is career pyramids you craete. Even linkedIn has space for career gaps officially so there is no point in being self conscious about it.


You can always talk about the gap , the need and your earnings from the gap. It is also very normal to take career breaks for family reasons , involuntary reasons like a job loss etc. Happy to help in detail if you share more details .

8 months gap is nothing compare to others .I had mentees who are having 5 yrs gap even , but they are employed now.Dont worry it's a situational answer which you need to prepare .Please let me know the position you are planning for .We can prepare answer accordingly
