I appreciate your honesty and enthusiasm to make a transition into tech—especially after spending a few years in a non-tech domain. It’s great that you’ve already started learning JavaScript and React.js; that’s a solid foundation.
As your mentor, my plan would be structured around three key pillars: Skill Building, Project Experience, and Confidence through Practice.
- Skill Building:
- We’ll start with strengthening your JavaScript and React fundamentals. I’ll guide you through important concepts, coding patterns, and real-world use cases that are commonly asked in interviews.
- Project Experience:
- We’ll work on 1–2 end-to-end mini projects that demonstrate your skills—this will help build your GitHub portfolio and give you something tangible to talk about in interviews.
- Mock Interviews & Guidance:
- I’ll help you with mock technical rounds, code review practices, and how to present your past non-tech experience in a way that highlights your learning mindset and transferable skills. We’ll also focus on resume building and tailoring it for junior frontend roles.
You don’t need to know everything to get started—you just need the right roadmap and consistency. I’ll support you through that journey step by step.
Let me know when you’d like to get started, and we can set up an initial call to assess your current level and set realistic short-term goals.
