My personal experience says that not all mentors will be suitable for you basis your preferred timings , study area, communication patterns and level of experience of the mentor.

As a mentee/mentor, the linkedin profiles are shared in the preplaced portal with which you can always go back to linkedin and check the genuinety of the profile.
