Good evening! It's great to hear about your dedication to advancing your skills in data science, and your proactive approach is commendable. You're already on a good path by exploring foundational courses like IBM's statistics and data science series, and CS50's Python course. These are solid resources, and there are several more you might consider to further deepen your expertise:
1. MIT OpenCourseWare: Free courses from MIT on a variety of subjects, including data science and machine learning.
2. DataCamp: Focused on data science and analytics, offering hands-on learning with immediate feedback.
3. Udacity:Known for its "Nanodegree" programs in data science, AI, and programming, which are project-based and designed in collaboration with industry leaders.
Regarding your decision about pursuing an MTech or preparing for the GATE, this largely depends on your career aspirations. If you are aiming for roles in research or highly technical fields, or if you want to ensure higher credibility and potentially better job opportunities, an MTech could be beneficial. However, if you're keen to enter the industry quickly, focusing on practical skills and building a strong portfolio through projects and internships might be enough.
As for the impact of AI on data science, while AI does automate some aspects of data analysis, the role of a data scientist is evolving rather than diminishing. There's a growing need for professionals who can interpret AI outputs and integrate them into strategic decision-making.
Regarding the hiring of freshers in data science, it is competitive, but not impossible. Employers do look for candidates who can demonstrate practical application of their skills through projects, internships, and their understanding of the industry. Freshers who show they can handle real-world data and have a robust portfolio often find good opportunities.
If you're looking for more personalized guidance and a structured learning path from scratch to advanced levels, seeking mentorship can be highly beneficial. I can assist you in mapping out your learning journey, refining your projects, preparing for interviews, and even navigating the job market. This kind of one-on-one support can help you tailor your learning to your specific goals and accelerate your progress in becoming a skilled data scientist.
Remember, the field of data science is vast and constantly evolving, so continuous learning and adaptation are key. Keep up the great work, and don't hesitate to reach out if you think a mentoring relationship could help you achieve your goals.
