Mentee Question
Any Job referral is given by the Mentor Or not ? Since after investing time and money if student will not get a job it would be really demotivating ...now a days there are many company like sharpener accio offer 100% job assistance Or placement guaranteed plan so can we expect same from here ?

Hi Gaurav,
No mentor or platform can "guarantee" a job. Landing a job depends on fitness. Market forces sets the fitness criteria and one has to adapt to meet that criteria.
Role of platform here is to facilitate interactions with like minded people ahead of curve in terms of experience and market exposure.
Role of mentor(specific to me) is to
- share own experiences/understanding of market as well as organisational needs(hard and soft skills).
- Develop road-map to master a skill set
- Help in developing proof of work(open source/blogs/notebooks). Which should make mentee more likely to attract jobs(especially startups/freelance work).
Role of mentee is to have a clear understanding of fitness criteria at the time and work hard to meet that criteria for sustainable period.
If you meet that criteria, I(or any other serious mentor) would be happy to refer you to past connections as it is a win-win-win situation for all the parties involved.
