How can I find an experienced software engineer to mentor me?
Mentors Answer
Answered By Mentor sai teja mesala
- Reach out to software engineers on social media. You can find software engineers on LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social media platforms. If you see someone who you admire, reach out to them and introduce yourself. You may be able to find someone who is willing to mentor you.
- Be clear about what you are looking for in a mentor. What are your goals for your mentorship? What kind of experience are you looking for in a mentor? Once you know what you are looking for, you can start your search.
- Be prepared to put in the work. Mentorship is a two-way street. You need to be prepared to put in the work to learn from your mentor. This means being open to feedback, being willing to ask questions, and being willing to put in the effort to grow your skills.
- Be respectful of your mentor’s time. Your mentor is giving you their time and expertise for free. Be respectful of their time by being prepared for your meetings, by being on time, and by being mindful of their schedule.
- else you can book a 1:1 session with me for further discussion
