To make your application stand out, you need to add good projects which leverage latest tech stack, contain multiple features, and you've used innovative and optimised approach to solve the problems.

Apart from this, you also need good practice of problem solving through DSA, and if you maintain a good public profile on problem solving platforms like codeforces, codechef, leetcode etc. it will give you some advantage.

For interview, you need practice so that you're confident about what you're saying and can completely express your thought process.

For all these things, if you take mentorship, it will boost and optimise your learning journey. Not only will you be able to learn and grasp everything quicker, but you will also learn more, which you won't able to do on your own, simply because you don't have that exposure or you don't know what's the best at each step of the journey.
