Getting a big package in IT industry

I had been in IT industry for 10+ years and I have descent package with my company. I have seen people who are in top 5% and top 1% also in this industry with great package. With 10+ years pf experience a person can get around 1.6 to 2 cr of package in India and these are the people who lands up in 5% bucket, so just think about 1% bucket.

People have different motivation joining IT Industry and I suppose, majority around 95% wants a good paycheck every month. If yes then this blog is for you.

Deserve then Desire

-- Success comes to those and Luck favors those who are deserving. So, if you aspire to be in top 1% first ask question to yourself, what it takes to be there, do I have that quality and skill and if not am I willing to get those qualities? 

-- If you bring value to employer and his business, your bank account will shine too.

-- LEARN and then remove L. That is your faith you want to achieve.

Be Realist not Idealist

-- Everyone in a company even the Chairman and CEO are there in company for money, then how come and employee of he think for his finance becomes greedy?

-- If a companies financial health is not strong then HR over a phone call will terminate your 13years employee ship with that company then, when an employee has lucrative opportunity why should he care for a company?

-- Switching will earn you fortune, and staying will earn you verbal appreciation and comfort zone in the eyes of that employer. If you are second one then sorry but this blog is not for you my friend.

-- With my practical experience of switching, I have taken hike of 120% as well in some companies and at that time that employer was giving me 5% appraisal. So just just image for me to get 120% with tat same company I need to stay 24 years with same company. :D. How big joke it is? 

Be Competitive

-- Trust me office experience teaches you 5 - 10% what is required in industry to thrive, so don't rely on experience that you have gained from your office,  but go outside and learn.

-- To get big, all the things you have to do is big. HAVE YOU MADE IT LARGE. Ask this question to yourself.

-- I have 10 years of experience and taken 100's of interviews and rejected candidates with 15-17 years of experience but selected those with 3-5 years. Because the later posses knowledge which is 3x then their experience.

-- Learn BOSS. Create POC's. Put it on Github. Let your resume shine and speak for you.

Till now if you are following my blog, then at start I have mentioned 5% club, money that they earn even 20 years experience doesn't earn that much. If you love money then IT Industry is ocean of wealth. Let see who is the risk taker and diver who goes a mile ahead and who builds castle at the shore.
